The day before yesterday, I headed to Chidorigafuchi 千鳥ヶ淵, a park beside a moat that surrounds the Imperial Palace, a short walk from Hanzōmon Station. My friend Izumi had suggested I go for hanami, or cherry blossom viewing, which is taking place all week in Tokyo and other cities. Canopied by pale pink Yoshino cherry blossoms, I was able to catch them in full bloom during my first spring in Japan.
一昨日、半蔵門駅から歩いてすぐ行ける千鳥ヶ淵へお花見に行きました。千鳥ヶ淵は皇居を囲んでいる堀のとなりにある公園です。私の友達のいずみからお花見にいい場所だと聞きました。ソメイヨシノの下を歩いて、日本の満開の桜を初めて見る事ができました。
